Choice of wetting liquids based on Kelvin equation to extend pore range of EP. Larger surface tension and molar volume needed for larger pores to be measured. IPA accurately measured the 100 nm Anopore membrane but not the 200 nm. 1-butanol measured pore diameters up to 365 nm, well above previous limit of 150 nm. EP can accurately characterize pore diameters well into the MF range.
