Triangular vanes are in-stream structures used for bank protection and restoration of fishes and other aquatic organisms' habitat.
Our recommendation is that the space between the vanes should not exceed 5le.
The vanes induce a secondary flow cell near the outer bank which counteracts the main spiral flow in the bend.
The triangular vane caused to decrease the depth-averaged velocity near the outer bank at both upstream, up to 44%, and downstream sections of the structure.
