Fabrication and characterization of novel high-performance fluorinated polyimides with xanthene pendent architecture: Study of thermal, photophysical, antibacterial and heavy metal ion adsorption behavior

Fabrication and characterization of novel fluorinated polyimides was carried out. The effects of CF3 polar group substitution on polyimides properties was studied. Bulky CF3 and xanthene units in the polymer backbone improving polymers solubility. Extraction capability for heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions was investigated. Novel polyimides were also tested for antibacterial activity.
