Multifaceted interventions are essential to promote and implement compliance to hand hygiene. Incentive-driven interventions help boost hand hygiene compliance, and audit-feedback interventions help achieve sustainability. Analysis of health care workers' behavior toward hand hygiene based on the My 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene concept is necessary to pinpoint difficulties in compliance.
