A facile and cost-effective method is designed to construct superhydrophobic and hydrophilic films on copper surface. Morphology and structure of the coatings and their relationship with different wetting behavior of the coatings is studied. Contact angle could be tailored over a wide range from 0° to 155°. This research may provide a functional coating on copper surface.
