Effect of alcohols on the TiO2 structure and morphology are investigated in two different self-organization processes. In the first process based on the water-vapor hydrolysis, it exhibits that alcohols significantly affect the crystal growth and the particle aggregation. In the second ultra-slow process based on the diffusion hydrolysis, ethanol causes compact spherical secondary particles, while methanol leads to 1D assembly producing rectangle tubes and flower-like slabs.
