Interface development and numerical simulation of powder co-injection moulding. Part. I. Experimental results on the flow behaviour and die filling process
Powder co-injection moulding green parts were fabricated from two feedstocks. The interface between the core and skin feedstocks were investigated. The interface morphology was determined by the injection parameters. There is a “maximum thickness” of core feedstock in the longitudinal direction. The formation mechanism of the interface and breakthrough phenomenon were studied.
