Adsorption of phenylpropanolamine (PPA) drug on the C60 is studied by DFT. Two adsorption mechanisms were predicted for PPA on the pristine C60. The C60 has a good sensitivity to PPA but suffers from a weak interaction. Si-doping makes the C60 much more sensitive and reactive to the PPA.
