A cellular automaton model with probabilistic state switches is developed.

Solute elements have a drag effect on grain boundary motion.

Nucleation rate of SRX grains are sensitive to deformation parameters.

Inhomogeneity of grain size first increases, then decreases with the increased SRX fraction.
