MSCs administration can induce the prolongation of skin allograft acceptance in mice. Increasing PD-L1 expression in splenocytes may be one of the mechanisms that MSCs use to inhibit immune responses. MSCs administration cannot change the expression of IDO in splenocytes. MSCs increase the secretion of IL-10 as well as inhibition of IL-2 and IFN-γ in serum.
