“Oral mucosal epithelial cells express the membrane anchored mucin MUC1” by Ukkonen et al. The data shows that oral mucosal cells express the membrane anchored mucin MUC1. The membrane anchored mucin MUC1 is localized mainly to small vesicles and plasma membranes of oral epithelial cells. The MUC1 staining intensity is strongest in the apical part of the oral epithelium.
