We studied five fireplaces from the Late Bronze Age settlement of Puy de Corent.
Thellier-Thellier protocol provides five new mean high-quality archaeointensities.
The five new data point out a ~ 70 μT intensity maximum between 950 and 800 BCE.
The intensity variation curve has two maxima between 1000 and 500 BCE in Western Europe.
Archaeomagnetic dating is very useful for the Late Bronze Age period.
