The sandstones are classified into kaolinitic, subfeldspathic arenites, and kaolinitic feldspathic arenite lithofacies.

Quartz grains are the most abundant detrital components in the samples, followed by feldspars, micas, and detrital clays.

Analyzed samples are characterized by poor to very good pore interconnectivity.

Kaolinite, chlorite, illite and smectite are the common clay minerals in the studied samples.

The reservoir quality witnessed porosity loss due to compaction and cementation and was later enhanced by dissolutions.
