Theta oscillations were found to be decreased in the rodent tetanus toxin model of non-lesional hippocampal epilepsy.

Asynchronous distributed-multielectrode-microstimulation (DMM) at theta frequencies reduced seizures by ~46%.

We suggest DMM as a new approach to therapeutic brain stimulation for the treatment of epilepsy.
