In-situ TiB2 fine particles are used as grain refiner, silicon modifier and foam stabilizer to process aluminium alloy foam.

Characterization has been done on foam cells by using high resolution X-ray tomography technique.

Expansion, stability and foam structure of 5 wt.% TiB2 stabilized foam is better than 10 wt.% TiB2 stabilized foam.

Foam processing parameters are successfully optimized for TiB2 particles stabilized foam.
