Structural, morphological and electrochemical supercapacitive properties of sprayed manganese ferrite thin film electrode

Nickel-manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) thin films are prepared onto glass and stainless-steel using chemical spray pyrolysis method. Various measurements confirm ferrite structure, spinel phase and nodule-type morphology of MnFe2O4. Both CV and charge/discharge measurements are performed in 1 M KOH, NaOH, Na2SO3, Na2SO4 aqueous electrolytes. From both measurements, maximum specific capacitances of 313 F g−1 (at scan rate of 5 mV s−1 using CV) and 293.5 F g −1 (from discharge curve at 1 mA-cm−2) in 1 M KOH are obtained.
