MoOx-MnOx composite GCE electrodes have been investigated for formaldehyde.

Pt nanoparticles on mixed valent metal oxides were prepared by cyclic voltammetry.

GCE/MoOx-MnOx/Pt showed best electro-catalytic activity towards formaldehyde.

The surfaces of electrodes were characterized by SEM, XPS, EIS techniques.
