Trichlorethylene is photooxidized efficiently to Cl− and CO2 over Pd and Pd–Au/TiO2. Photocatalytic oxidation/hydrodechlorination of TCE occurs in the presence of CH3OH. Photocatalytic generation of H2 takes place over Au and Pd–Au nanoparticles dispersed on TiO2.
