Growth of high quality vertically aligned and interconnected ZnO core/shell nanorods. Growth by catalyst-free PLD in a continuous two-step growth process. Nanorods show good crystalline quality with a high degree of verticality. Nanorods show excellent uniformity, optical and electrical properties.
