A facile hot-injection synthesis route for Cu2WSe4 was described for the first time. This procedure is the quickest way to fabricate Cu2WSe4 nanostructures. Cu2WSe4 nanosheets has been investigated by XRD, HR-TEM, AFM, EDX, FTIR and UV–Vis. The nanosheets exhibit good crystallinity with an average size between 20 and 40 nm. The results imply that the nanosheets is a good candidate for energy applications.
