We synthesize a novel and hitherto unreported class of colloidal suspensions.

These colloidal suspensions are both magnetoresponsive and electrically conductive.

The dispersed phase consists of MWNTs decorated with different magnetic nanoparticles.

These colloids have enhanced magnetic response and electric conductivity (up to 169.5 mS cm−1).

It is a promising new class of material that can be manipulated with a magnetic field.
