Hazard of PAHs was likely more related to carcinogenicity and narcotic features. PAH toxicity averagely was equivalent to occurrence of 0.08 ng/g− 1 dw of Dioxin. The sediments of upper part of the Peninsula showed more narcotic potential. Distribution of even carbon number n-alkanes was dominant.
