We explore Goos-Hänchen (GH) effect in a Kretschmann configuration with hyperbolic metamaterial.

Calculation method in anisotropic waveguides is developed based on stationary method.

GH shift peaks are significantly influenced by the dispersion and refractive indices of materials.

Applications in wavelength de-multiplexing and refractive index detection are discussed.

GH effect brings new physical mechanisms for wavelength selector and biosensor.
