Viability of the combined process of HTP and two-phase AD was investigated. Mitigation of negative effect caused by HTP was verified in two-phase AD. The succession of microbial community in the acidogenic digesters was studied. Combining HTP and two-phase AD obtained higher specific biogas production. Optimal net energy output was achieved in the proposed scenario.
