We used MrNPF to investigate its effects on ovarian maturation and spawning in female Macrobrachium rosenbergii. MrNPF induces ovarian maturation and spawning, gonado-somatic index, oocyte diameters. MrNPF increases hemolymph vitellogenin concentrations compared with the control groups. MrNPF-irs were intense in the early- and mid-steps of oocytes (Oc2 and Oc3) and suddenly decreased in the mature stage (Oc4).
