Polycrystalline ZnGeN2 was synthesized by exposing solid Ge to Zn and NH3 vapor. Cation lattice ordering increased with growth temperature and annealing. ZnGeN2 grown on a Sn–Ge–Zn liquid became ordered at a lower growth temperature.
