Solid–solid reactions between heteropolyacids and substituted pyridines were studied. Related compounds with heteropolyanions and pyridines were prepared from solution. Compounds with the formula (organic cation)3PM12O40]·nH2O were obtained by both methods. The products obtained by the different procedures were compared.
