Regionalization of local geomorphometry improved usefulness of SRTM data in Amazonia. Expert knowledge on the studied site was a key input for methodological decisions. Variations in regionalized geomorphometry were suggested to indicate geological age. Results showed potential for the update and revision of geological mapping.
