Ruthenium dimethyl sulfoxide complexes were applied in ATRP and ROMP reactions. The ROMP were dependent on the monomer amount, temperature, and reaction time. The ATRP was conducted varying the initiator and monomer concentrations. The initiators with simple ancillary ligands can tune the reactivity of catalysts.
