The flocculation activity of cationic polyelectrolyte compositions has been studied. Synergistic effect is due to the thermodynamic incompatibility of the polymers. Macromolecular coils decrease in the joint presence of two cationic polyelectrolytes. The polyelectrolytes flocculation activity depends on their behavior in the solution.
