Effects of PME on oxidative stress and inflammation in 3T3-L1 were assessed. PME decreased ROS production by increasing activities of antioxidant enzymes. PME down regulated NOX1 expression and inhibited oxidative modification of proteins. PME exerted anti-inflammatory effect by decreasing NFκB, iNOS and IL-6 expressions. PME down-regulated mRNA and protein expressions of AGEs receptor CD36.
