Environmental burdens associated with a pig farming system were assessed in detail. Two representative Galician farms designed for intensive pigs rearing were considered for assessment. Primary inventory data was managed not only concerning farms activities but also in terms of concentrate feed production. Concentrate feed formulation can be considered as decisive in the environmental burdens of global system.
