Introduction: Nitric oxide (NO) is one of the intracellular bactericidal mechanisms against pathogens. Most gram negative bacteria LPS induces the production of NO, being involved, in that way, in the pathogenic fenomenons of bacteria. In the present work, the effect of S-LPS from Brucella in the production of inducible NO synthase (iNOS), iNOS mRNA and NO was studied.
