Students perceive peer support and peer learning as important when learning skills. Students believe that skills are not mastered until they are done on real patients. Students have anxiety when learning skills and fear harming the patient. Students are aware that real patients will one day receive skills they are learning. The environment and faculty teaching methods can help or hinder skills learning.
