Accuracy assessment of aerosol source apportionment by dual wavelength photoacoustic measurements

A simulation method is introduced which can be used to estimate the accuracy of source apportionment based on a dual wavelength photoacoustic system The method assumes that aerosols are dominantly originating from two distinct sources. The results show that pairing a 405 and a 1064 nm laser from the ones examined yield the best results. The findings are in good agreement with results of a previous field campaign.
