Review of series of keratocystic odontogenic tumors in the literature. Untransformed proportions and meta-analyses analyzed 6427 lesions. Recurrence not affected by sex or location (jaw), but by locularity. Highest probabilities of recurrence: marsupialization, enucleation alone. Lowest probabilities of recurrence: enucleation + Carnoy, resection.
