Anti-phospho-tau peptide 50TPTEDGSEEPGSETSDAKpSpTPpT71 antibodies prevented aggregation of tau in vitro. Passive immunization of okadaic acid (OA) treated experimental rats with these antibodies improved spatial memory functions. Further, antibody treatment reduced the p-tau levels in the hippocampal homogenates of OA rats.
