We have developed and validated a theoretical model for the prediction of a SAW sensor's sensitivity to the intensity and direction of external applied magnetic fields.

A theoretical model Ni/ZnO/IDT/LiNbO3 for the prediction of a SAW sensor sensitivity with respect to the intensity and the direction of externally applied magnetic fields was developed and validated experimentally.

The study demonstrates that a careful choice of properties of considered piezoelectric, insulating and sensitive magnetoelastic layers is very important for the final.
