Novel protease from Aeribacillus pallidus VP3 was purified (SPVP) and characterized. Optimum pH and temperature values for activity were pH 10 and 60 °C, respectively. SPVP displayed a higher catalytic efficiency than SAPCG, Alcalase, and Thermolysin. SPVP is a promising and eco-friendly alternative for industrial applications. SPVP is a potential candidate for detergent formulations and peptide synthesis.
