Facile one-pot synthesis of hydrophilic FePt-CdS bimodal nanoprobe. Glutathione used as a capping agent as well as sulphur source. Developed nanoprobe exhibits superparamagnetism at room temperature. Hydrophilic FePt-CdS reveals excellent dispersibility and biocompatibility. FePt-CdS has simultaneous potential in fluorescence imaging (FI) and MR imaging.
