Optical absorption in a disk-shaped quantum dot in the presence of an impurity

The optical absorption in a two dimensional disk-shaped quantum dot is investigated. A static magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the plane of the disk. The study is performed in the presence of central or off- central impurity. The variational approach has been applied to find the energies and wave functions. The presence and location of impurity play effective roles.
