A new optical low coherence reflectometry is proposed based on Brillouin grating.

The intrinsic beat noise was reduced by the polarization diversity technique.

The Brillouin gratings were generated by uniformly pumping a short optical fiber.

The reflections from the gratings were measured at around 1 mm spatial resolution.
