Optically induced dielectrophoresis (ODEP), and flow velocity control are integrated in a microfluidic system for cell isolation. A four-cascade cell isolation is implemented for a higher-resolution cell separation, and thus higher-purity cell isolation. The method is able to isolate cancer cells in a high cell purity manner (94.9 ± 0.3%).
