Cambrian-early Ordovician volcanism across the South Armorican and Occitan domains of the Variscan Belt in France: Continental break-up and rifting of the northern Gondwana margin
Lower Palaeozoic teactonostratigraphy of western pre-Variscan basins is documented. Magmatic fingerprints of Cambrian and lower Ordovician volcanism are determined. The timing of volcanic activities is established. Their tectono-magmatic significances define North Gondwana geodynamical patterns. A Tremadocian volcanic chain emplaced from Occitan to Central-Iberian zones.
