DNA vaccines (pEno) targeting α-enolase of Streptococcus iniae were constructed. Immunization with pEno can induce fair protection against S. iniae in Nile tilapia. Relative percent survival of vaccinated fish was 63%. Protection was positively related to immune genes expression and serum antibody.
