The catalytic hydrotreatment of several dyes allowed complete decoloration of aqueous effluents. The total decoloration of an indophenol dye and of carbonyl and polyene dyes was achieved. The decoloration achieved by adsorption on the catalyst present an important contribution. Small amount of reagent (H2) is spent to achieve total decoloration.
