Energy of several absorption bands of water is estimated with polaronic exciton theory. This theory considers quantum well with four oscillators resulting in harmonic mean, rex. Consideration of elastic and inelastic interaction with photon admits polarizability estimate. The estimated polarizability of 1.4693 Å3 is found in a good agreement with 1.470 Å3.
