First PEC synthesis of 2,5-furandicarbaldehyde has been investigated. Pt loaded TiO2 nanotube on Ti layers as photoanodes were investigated. The distribution of TiO2 nanotubes on Ti is well organised. The photoanode preparation conditions, voltage and medium pH were optimised. 5-Formyl-2-furoic acid was produced just by using Pt loaded TiO2 nanotubes on Ti.
