High coccolithophore productivity occurred during MIS 11 in the Pacific sector. Our coccolithophore productivity contrasts with Atlantic Southern Ocean data. The Antarctic Circumpolar fronts migrated southward during MIS 11. Production of G. caribbeanica was limited by SST (MIS 12) and nutrients (MIS 11).
