The packing size and shape had great effect on the flow field and reaction. Simulation was applied to research the effect of packing size on the flow field. With the decrease of the size, the flow field was more favorable to the reaction. Reducing the packing size was benefited to improving yield. Dixon rings were perfect as packing and the highest yield 90.84% was obtained.
